Geneva Jonathan, PhD, is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and a clinical psychologist at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders and the Center for Digital Mental Health at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her BA from Wesleyan University and her PhD in clinical psychology from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at MGH/Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Jonathan’s research uses digital technology to expand access to cognitive-behavioral therapy for body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and to detect risk, including substance use and suicide risk, in daily life. Her newest work examines how AI chatbots affect people with BDD. Her research is supported by a Harvard Medical School Zinberg Fellowship, and her honors include the 2025 ISRII Early Career Researcher Award and the 2025 ABCT Francis C. Sumner Excellence Award.
