
Lilian Ebner, M.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Pediatric Psychiatry OCD and Tic Disorders Program at MGH and the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, which she joined in 2024. She earned her medical degree from the Medical University of Vienna in Austria, completing parts of her training in Munich, Berlin, and Washington, D.C., supported by the Max Kade Fellowship of the American Austrian Foundation. She also currently serves as President of the Austrian Scientists and Scholars in North America (ASciNA) in the Greater Boston area.
Her research focuses on pediatric OCD, tic disorders, ADHD, and body-focused repetitive behavior disorders (BFRBs), including skin-picking and hair-pulling disorder. She is passionate about improving clinical care for individuals with these often-overlapping neuropsychiatric conditions, and advocates for a dimensional and individualized approach to understanding and treating them. Outside of work, she can be found singing with the Longwood Medical Choir or hiking in the mountains.
