Please join the OCD and Related Disorders Program in the 1st annual OCD Awareness Walk, organized by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). The event will be held on Saturday, June 8th at the Jamaica Pond in Boston.
This event was inspired after Dennis Asselin walked 500 miles (or an estimated 1 million steps) in memory of his 24 year old son who committed suicide following a long battle with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). From April 24th until June 7, 2012 Dennis walked from his home in Cheyney, PA to Boston, MA. Along the way his pilgrimage and message brought awareness to OCD and BDD. This year the IOCDF is hoping to continue with the tradition and reach 1 million and plus steps or more.
