After being on SSRI treatment for about 20 years with marginal success, is there a realistic possibility that the SNRI drug, Cymbalta, could be efficacious in the treatment of my OCD? I also have osteoarthritis in both knees and hence I thought this might be a chance to address both issues, even though I realize the drug would be used off label for OCD.
Plus, is there a lower incidence of negative sexual side effects with this drug, as opposed to the traditional SSRI's, almost all of which I have taken.

yes, it is worth trying Cymbalta if other drugs have not helped. also, be sure to be doing CBT as that is the most effective treatment for OCD. see www.ocfoundation.org for more information.
