Driving Directions:
From Route 93
- Take I-93 to Exit 26 (Storrow Drive)
- Follow signs to Storrow Drive
- Take Storrow Drive West to Government Center exit (left exit)
- At end of ramp, yield to crossing traffic at flashing traffic signal, then proceed straight under the train tracks.
- Turn left onto Cambridge Street at next traffic signal
From the North Via Route 1
- Take Route 1 south over Tobin Bridge
- Follow signs to Storrow Drive (stay left)
- Take Storrow Drive west to Government Center exit (left exit)
- At end of ramp, yield to crossing traffic at flashing traffic signal, then proceed straight under the train tracks.
- Turn left onto Cambridge Street at next traffic signal
From the West Via the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) by Way of Storrow Drive
- Take I-90 east to Exit 18 (Brighton/Cambridge)
- Follow signs to Cambridge/Somerville
- Turn right onto Storrow Drive eastbound to Downtown Boston
- Take Storrow Drive east to Government Center (Cambridge Street)
By MBTA
- Red Line – Get off at the Charles/MGH stop, take a right onto Cambridge St, and walk towards the downtown area until you see the Charles River Plaza on your left. We are located in the Plaza, next to CVS and Whole Foods.
- Blue Line – Get off at the Bowdoin Street stop and walk down Cambridge St. (heading away from the downtown area) until you see the Charles River Plaza. We are located in the Plaza, next to CVS and Whole Foods.
- North Station – Free MGH Shuttle Bus (Stops to get off – 50 Staniford Street and walk up to Cambridge Street and take a right or get off at Blossom Street and walk up to Cambridge Street and take a left).
Parking:
Please note that some of the parking garages on MGH’s main campus are not owned by Mass General. These garages do not offer free or discounted parking.
Mass General offers discounted parking at the Yawkey Center, Fruit Street and Parkman Street garages. The closest parking garage to Simches Research Building is Parkman and Fruit street garage.
To access the Parkman or Fruit Street Garages:
- Take Cambridge Street to second traffic signal (Blossom Street)
- Turn left onto Blossom Street
- Turn left onto Parkman Street (first left)
- Parkman Street Garage is in the second block on left and Fruit Street Garage will be right ahead of you.
